The Fieldlab team is passionate about movement.
And for good reason!
Movement is fundamental to function and should be part of our daily practice in some form. Exercise promotes physical wellness through increased muscular strength, aerobic/cardiovascular capacity, bone density, and has a proven impact on mental wellbeing. As individuals who want to do all things well, it is important to adopt a consistent practice and continually find new challenges.
But compared to previous generations, we are not making physical activity a priority and lead gradually more sedentary lives. Our work is done predominantly sitting in offices, travel is conducted in cars and we spend significant time in front of computer and television screens for entertainment. Unfortunately, the modern world has been transformed to minimize movement and the results are devastating.
There is no doubt that exercise imparts a number of incredible benefits on one’s functional health. Those with a consistent practice experience improved sleep, elevated energy levels, and increased cognitive function. But that’s not why you are here. You want to know what is really going on and how can we use exercise to optimize our functional health.
At the cellular level (Fieldab’s favorite topic), mitochondria are producing ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which fuels physical function. As we exercise, our mitochondria are exercising as well and become stronger and more efficient, also improving their capacity to perform. Ultimately, the capacity for our mitochondria to generate energy efficiently and abundantly is largely what determines our functional health. It is also what allows us to perform our favorite movements and improve our performance while doing them (more reps, better time, greater distance). Optimizing our mitochondrial function offers benefits beyond exercise as well – it translates to our whole life. When our mitochondria are performing at their best, we sleep better, think better, eat better, and function better in all things. This is why we are so invested in properly supporting them!
This can go wrong very quickly, however! If we are continually breaking our bodies down at the cellular level and never restoring mitochondrial function, our exercise will start to work against us. This is characterized by performance plateaus, lack of motivation, exhaustion, and overall disfunction. Unfortunately, that is where so many people are at right now.
This is literally why we created Fieldlab. We learned this lesson the hard way, recognizing that a lack of mitochondrial support paired with intense, repeated activity creates a recipe for functional disaster. Our number one goal is to provide you with support at the deepest level to fuel your full day and recover so you can do it all again and do it even better.
Field Approved:
Optimized Daily: Your active lifestyle means your demands are greater. This scientifically formulated blend gives your mitochondria what they need for optimal function and recovery. Each ingredient has been purposefully selected and provides a distinct benefit at the cellular level so you can fuel your full day.
Collagen Recovery: Your active life is tough, and it breaks you down. In order to get stronger and improve function, you need to be able to efficiently rebuild and recover. That is where collagen comes in! The bioactive peptide used in Collagen Recovery is proven to get to the cells and enhance recovery, so you can feel your best day in and day out.
